Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest, Hungary

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious technical universities, traces its roots back to the Institutum Geometrico-Hydrotechnicum, founded in 1782. As the first institute in Europe to offer engineering training within a university structure, BME has a long tradition of academic excellence and innovation.

Located on the scenic Buda side of the Danube River, between Szabadság Bridge and Petőfi Bridge, the university boasts a campus that is as impressive in history as it is in size. Stretching towards Rákóczi Bridge, BME's campus offers a unique atmosphere, where walking from one end to the other can take up to 20 minutes. This central location provides convenient access to Budapest’s vibrant Inner City (Pest), just a 10-minute walk across either bridge, offering visitors a perfect blend of academic and cultural experiences.

BME is dedicated to training professionals in a wide array of disciplines, including technology, information technology, natural sciences, economics, and business management. Beyond education, BME’s mission is deeply rooted in scientific research, encompassing fundamental and applied studies, the development of cutting-edge technologies, and the application of research findings to drive innovation.

As a hub of knowledge and creativity, BME provides an ideal setting for the 3rd International Conference on Catalysis and Chemical Engineering (CatScience 2025), offering participants the opportunity to engage in a dynamic academic environment steeped in history and surrounded by the charm of Budapest.
